The Al Kader Motor Escort Unit is involved in many fund raising events throughout the year. Currently we are assisting the Shrine Center in the raffling of a vacation package valued at $12,500 where thewinner will have a choice of five extravagent vacations. At the end of the year we escort the A.B.A.T.E. Christmas run to the Portland Shrine Hospital. Although we don't participate specifially in raising funds for this event we escort the motorcyclists from the start of the event to the hospital. The event generally is attended by literally hundreds of motorcycle enthusiasts every year and raising thousands of dollars in money and equipment for the hospital along with thousands of stuffed animal that are donated to the Shrine Children. The A.B.A.T.E. run has raised over $500K for the hospital over the thirty plus years they have been holding the run and we thank them with all of our heart.
